Botox reduces expression lines by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for creating those lines. When injected into the skin, the botulinum toxin blocks the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh), which disrupts the signal that causes muscle contraction.

As a result, the targeted muscles remain in a relaxed state for 3-6 months, after which the treatment needs to be repeated to maintain the desired results.

Fusion® BTX ANTI-WRINKLE’s Peptides work synergistically with Botox in two ways:

  • The Peptides block the entrance of calcium ions, which are crucial for the fusion of vesicles – small, membrane-bound sacs that store and transport neurotransmitters – with the presynaptic membrane.
  • Without this fusion the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine (ACh) cannot be released.

By impeding vesicle fusion and subsequent neurotransmitter release, Fusion® BTX ANTI-WRINKLE works synergistically with Botox to maintain muscle relaxation and reduce the appearance of wrinkles over an extended period of time.

Studies have shown that after six months, the anti-wrinkle effect of Fusion® BTX ANTI-WRINKLE + Botox in the frontal region increased by threefold when compared to using only Botox. Furthermore, it effectively decelerated the reappearance of expression lines in the crow’s feet area.
